Consorzio San Michele-Gallura
Consorzio San Michele was founded in 2012 by a group of friends, that pooling their skills decided to create their own
winery to enhance the Vermentino di Gallura. Their area of ten hectaresis located in the heart of Gallura, close to the city
of Berchidda(on the north end of the Island), near the country church San Michele that gave the name to this Consortium.
The company’s mission is to produce wine Vermentino di Gallura “as grandparents were used to do”, using only carefully
selected Vermentino grapes, so that the product do not need industrial treatments as they are currently imposed by the
market. around 50,000 bottles were produced with 3 labels of Vermentino di Gallura DOCG: Symphony, Invidia, and
Superbia. Since some years Symphony wine is coupled with Festival Time in Jazz, an event which takes place in August
in Berchidda , created and directed by the most famous of Berchidda citizens today, the jazz musician Paolo Fresu.
