Founded in 1854, this winery, located in Nizza Monferrato, Piedmont, is more than 150 years old. Through the years, Scarpa has developed the distinctive image of a winery specializing in top, single vineyard and riserva wines. It has acquired a worldwide reputation as a champion of the traditional method of vinification, with long maceration and extended maturation in large Slovenian and French Allier oak barrels. Scarpa became a point of reference for the aristocracy of the piedmontese wines, in Italy and abroad, thanks to its deep and meticulous care for the production. Nowadays Scarpa’s production is around 150,000 bottles, each numbered and coming from selected grapes.
