Cave Du Marmandais
The vineyards of the Côtes du Marmandais is located at the gates of the city of Marmande 20 km South West of Bergerac on hillsides on part and sides of the Garonne. Classified as VDQS in 1955, he became an AOC in 1990. Cave du Marmandais represents 95% of the surface area of the appellation, 850 hectares, with an annual output of 6 million bottles. Producing white, reds and roses, the cellar winemakers cultivate a long list of grape varieties, among which you will find the two cabernets, merlot, fer servadou, gamay, Sauvignon Blanc, semillon or muscadelle and the endemic Abouriou, which gives red wine colored and flawless tannins.
