During the time of the monarchy, the property belonged to Château St-Georges, where the king came to receive the “dîme” (land tax). Owned by the Andrieu family, the estate has been handed down from generation to generation since the nineteenth century, in keeping with tradition. The small family estate of Château Divon has been owned by the Andrieu family since 1860. It lies 4 kilometres north of the village of Saint Emilion at the heart of the smallest appellation in the Libournais wine region, Saint George Saint Emilion, which is made up of a mere 21 growers and just under 180 hectares. Crafted with passion and determination by Damien Andrieu, this wine presents all the richness and expression typical of the Merlot grown in this exceptional terroir.
